St. Edward Mercy Hospital was dedicated on Oct. 30, 1923. In 1927, it became known as the "baby hospital" when the top floor was added to include a nursery and maternity ward. Because of overcrowding, the hospital was expanded in 1943 to give it a 150-patient capacity. |
